In January we had the opportunity to meet Brittany Speed, a survivor of domestic violence. We sat down to capture her story and we were amazed with her path, how she came to Safe Harbor, and how her story is empowering others.
Our friends at Safe Harbor asked us to capture, tell, and share Brittny’s story as a featured video for their March event called Fashion with a Passion.
Over 450 guests gathered at the Hyatt Regency on March 5th for Fashion with a Passion, an evening of unforgettable fashion, food, and fun benefiting Safe Harbor. My wife Sarah and her friends (below) were among the guests enjoyed exciting silent and live auctions, and the runway show featured the latest Spring styles from local boutiques.
Brittny’s story brought tremendous context behind the purpose of the event, sharing her childhood story staying at the shelter with mother and sister escaping her abusive father.
Brittny’s story is one of the many reasons why I continue to support Safe Harbor, and continue to find purpose behind our partnership sharing many stories of domestic violence.
I hope you enjoy her story.
