There is a new neighbor in town, coming to a page near you. LinkedIn officially announced their follow button, which you will quickly begin to notice next to our old friends Facebook and Twitter.

Why follow a company on LinkedIn? According to them, "Whether you are looking to stay up-to-date on company news, career opportunities or industry trends, following companies on LinkedIn is a great and easy way to gain insights and stay connected." 

We think it will be interesting to see how big brands and small business chose to use this "new" avenue. While LinkedIn has been around, it's not viewed as a news or information source for most people. Instead, they view it as an online rolodex.
