Yes…500 homes! Can you imagine building a home, two homes, or even 500 homes?

500 homes represent 500 families who have been impacted through safe, & energy-efficient, affordable housing in the state of South Carolina– that’s 500 stories of true life change. All this organized, cultivated, and executed by an amazing organization called Homes of Hope in Greenville, SC.

We had a tremendous opportunity to help tell three stories and help share this excitement. First, we created a promotional video showcasing the 500th home celebration.

From Homes of Hope Blog:

We are proud to present to the community our 500th home! But even more exciting than that, we are honored to welcome our 500th family. A milestone such as this doesn’t happen overnight and it doesn’t happen without the help of others. In fact, we were so thrilled to see many of our supporters, community partners, funders, donors, clients, and friends from throughout our history join us for the recent celebration of our 500th home!

Our 500th home was built in part by men overcoming addictions enrolled in Homes of Hope’s job training program alongside volunteers from Fluor Corporation with construction oversight provided by Meritus Signature Homes.

Taking a shot: Lee’s Story
We also spent time capturing and telling Lee’s story. Lee spent over 15 years in addiction. When everyone else said “no,” Homes of Hope believed in him. Through Homes of Hope’s Men’s Development program he’s now building a new life for himself and his family, while learning to build homes for others in need.
